TARGET CONSTRUCTION
AR 500 PLATES
All targets manufactured by Ozz'z are cut from AR500 steel and are available in 3/8" and 1/2" thicknesses. This steel is favored for targets due to its resistance to abrasion and impact. The targets will handle impact from all standard handgun calibers with no noticeable damage. With popular rifle calibers (.223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 7.62X39, .308 Winchester) minor cratering will occur at 100 yards with FMJ bullets. DO NOT SHOOT ANY STEEL CORE OR AP AMMUNITION AT THESE TARGETS! IT IS RECOMMENDED TO NOT SHOOT RIFLE AMMUNITION AT STEEL TARGETS CLOSER THAN 100 YARDS AND PISTOL AMMUNITION NO CLOSER THAN 10 YARDS!
WATERJET CUTTING
All targets from Ozz'z are cut using a waterjet cutting process. Waterjet cutting has an advantage over plasma or laser cutting being there is no heat affected zone on the edges of the target from the cut. This means the target has the same hardness from edge to edge.
STAND CONSTRUCTION
The stands are constructed mild steel and MIG welded. The RESETTING BASES incorporate a single plate of AR500 on the front face. The stands are designed for maximum portability and ease of assembly with minimal tools needed.
